ABOUT US
In the heart of Enugu State, South-Eastern Nigeria, where LGBTQIA+individuals face widespread discrimination and isolation, a group of compassionate individuals dared to dream of a safer, more inclusive world. Advocacy for Better Lifestyle and Health Initiative (ABLHI) was born from this dream, founded in 2020 by a collective of both International and Nigerian LGBTQIA+ Activists and Individuals who had personally experienced the harsh realities of stigma, marginalization, and lack of access to health services. The Organization (ABLHI) later got registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) Act of Nigeria in April 2022.

"ablhingo.org has been a lifesaver for me. As a lesbian in a small town, it’s hard to find support, but this platform makes me feel seen and understood. The resources are incredible, especially for navigating conversations in the classroom. It’s an empowering, educational space that I highly recommend for anyone looking for guidance or community."
"As a gay man, I’ve been searching for a space where I can find both support and current events related to the LGBTQ+ community. This website does just that! It’s a perfect blend of news, community outreach, and personal stories. The forum discussions are always lively, and I’ve even made some great friends through it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with others."
"ablhingo.org has been a tremendous resource not only for myself but also for many of my clients. The mental health articles and support forums are particularly helpful, offering a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals. It’s refreshing to find a platform that’s both informative and compassionate. My only wish is that they’d expand their content to include more global perspectives."
