About Us

Founded in 2019 during the COVID-19 outbreak, we began as a Christian-based health-focused community group supporting GBQ/MSM persons through reconciliation of sexuality, spirituality, and healthy living in Enugu State, Nigeria.

On April 20, 2022, we became a legally registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria and adopted the name Advocacy for Better Lifestyle and Health Initiative (ABLHI).

When you give to Ablhingo, you know your donation is making a difference. Whether you are supporting our safe housing programs, economic empowerment initiatives, or human rights advocacy, our professional staff works hard every day
to ensure every dollar has impact for marginalized and vulnerable communities in Southeastern Nigeria. We empower communities through grassroots engagement, inclusive capacity building, and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health rights.

Our Vision & Mission

We envision a society where every individual, regardless of identity or background, lives in safety, dignity, and equality with full access to justice, sustainable livelihoods, and comprehensive SRHR. We empower marginalized communities through safe housing, human rights advocacy, grassroots engagement, and economic justice.

  • Safe housing for key populations
  • Human rights & grassroots advocacy
  • Comprehensive SRHR services
  • Economic empowerment & skill acquisition

Since our founding in 2019 during COVID-19, we have been serving GBQ/MSM persons and key populations with dignity, respect, and comprehensive support across Enugu State and Southeastern Nigeria.

Our volunteers are the heart of ABLHI, working tirelessly to advance safe housing, economic justice, and human rights for marginalized communities in partnership with CBOs and CSOs across Nigeria.

Legally registered under the CAC of Nigeria since April 20, 2022, ABLHI partners with Access to Good Health Initiative, CHEVS Collectives, SHRE, and Pan African ILGA to create lasting impact.
