All thanks to the Benefactors and Funders of Advocacy For Better Lifestyle and Health Initiative ABLHI, the likes of Sir Ricus Dullaert, Sir Sly Ezenagu and to mention but a few, for making the just concluded ABLHI Annual Convention a reality and a successful event through their generousity and fundings. Not forgetting also to appreciate the chairman, planning committee and the general Management of ABLHI for their various individual contributions towards the success of the workshop.
The 2nd Annual Convention/Workshop was themed, Safety and Security Workshop, this theme: was caved out of the passion to curtail the daily increasing rate of LGBTQ or Queer Set-up and Kito in homophobic country like Nigeria and some other countries in general. The workshop was also designed to educate Queers on the best possible ways to coexist with non queer folks around them in the society, this non queers can come in form of coworkers or employees or employers, family members, church members, peers, friends and foes.
The workshop commenced on Friday 15th September 2023, by 3pm, at HSB hotel, Transekulu flyover, Transekulu, Enugu North, Enugu State, Nigeria. A total of 40 Queers was recorded on arrival, i.e participants, facilitators, invited Sister NGOs and other invited guests. On arrival, everyone was welcomed with a souvenir pack from the organization. The souvenir pack contained mineral drink, meat pie, a jotter with a crested logo of the organization and a pen with a crested logo of the organization.
