On Friday, 27th June 2025, the Advocacy For Better Lifestyle and Health Initiative (ABLHI) hosted a vibrant and inspiring Pride Month Celebration at its official headquarters in Enugu State, South Eastern Nigeria West Africa.

The Event brought together members of the LGBTQIA+ Community, Allies, Activists, Civil Society Partners and delegates from Community Based Non Governmental Organizations like Access To Good Health Initiative AGHI, YOUWIN Health And Rights Initiative, Excellent Community Education Welfare Scheme ECEWS, OSS, Enugu State KP Secretariat Deputy Coordinator, Safe Place International SPI, to honor diversity, promote inclusion, and affirm the resilience of queer lives in Nigeria.

Themed “Louder Than Labels: Our Truth, Our Power, Our Pride”, the celebration featured Storytelling Sessions, Topic Presentations, and Dance, Fun Games, Music that uplifted voices often silenced in society. The gathering served not only as a space for joyful expression but also as a courageous act of visibility and resistance against homophobia, stigma, and systemic discrimination.

This landmark Event reaffirmed ABLHI’s unwavering commitment to human rights, community empowerment, and creating safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ persons in the region.
